It's a...

Well, we went to hospital for ultrasound the other day.  Pretty interesting how it captures different angles and the movement of the baby.  It does a good job on the details...when you can get them.  The baby appears to be shy and hid its face the whole time.  And it appeared to make a gesture with its hand that we will have to reprimand as soon as it arrives...maybe by grabbing the feet and spanking a few times upsidedown.  All in all, the baby is healthy.  The Dr. still needs to get a face shot to look at the orbs or sockets and wants a better shot of the heart.  We'll try for those on the next visit in a month.  We'll get some ultrasound pics up soon.  Oh, yeah...it's not a girl!

So I have purchased boy stuff now that I know what it is. Let's just say it's going to be very spoiled! Let me know if you want name ideas ;)

Finally another boy... I thought everyone but me was having a girl! :) Congratulations! How have you been feeling? We're going to attempt the drive to the Tri-Cities this week for Christmas, but we'll see- it's a crazy blizzard here right now! I'd love to see you if we make it into town!

Is it okay for a mom to comment? I'll try not to embarass you. :D I have such great boy patterns, ones that I started looking for when Marc was born (there wasn't much for boys then in the knit/crochet/sew world -- still not as much as I'd like!) I also have girl patterns and puppy patterns, so you're covered, regardless. Love ya all. Mom Julie Grandma (or whatever you want to call me!)

Ohmygosh! So...I'm an uncle! I mean, I would be an uncle either way. But now I'm an uncle to a nephew! I'm stoked.

By the way. Kudos (or as Juno would say it "Kudos) on the subtle build up to the switch-a-roo revelation there. Totally got me into it and then bam!...gender.
